By the time we were well into our second Iron Chef Teambuilding event, we knew something special was happening. We were creating rock stars, or in this case, culinary enthusiasts made extra special thanks to Sub-Zero and Wolf.

The Culinary Events Center at Riggs can inspire awe with its two fully functional showroom kitchens equipped with the very best Sub-Zero and Wolf products along with displays of every product showing how it will fit perfectly into your own kitchen. But we wanted to show our designers and guests just how incredible this resource can be. How can we show our “rock star” architects, designers, and craftsmen exactly what our products can do?

For that, we created the Iron Chef Program…

Gourmet Teambuilding

Upon arriving to the CEC, our guests, many of the team that makes up William Duff Architects, were greeted with beverages, appetizers, and a hearty welcome from Riggs’ chefs and staff. Then there was a tour complete with hands-on descriptions and interactions with Wolf products from Dual Fuel ranges to the Convection Steam Ovens and everything one needs to know about what makes Sub-Zero refrigeration the best.

Then we started the fun. With secret ingredients, a professional consulting chef for each team, and Sub-Zero and Wolf experts near by, initially reserved architects and designers competed in teams to create a tasty dish. Using the Wolf Induction Counter top amateur cooks were now achieving the best sautés and the Wolf Convection Steam Oven perfected the roasted squash.

A Complete Experience

One of the best parts was yet to come. No, it was not the buffet and meal the entire group got to share together, but the judging and presentations. Team members jumped in on their captain’s presentation to help prove they acquired more knowledge than the next group. Amid laughter, smiles, and high-fives there was simultaneous team rivalry and group bonding.
